It never ceases to amaze me how much a little light can do to set the mood. This picture is a prime example. Something as simple as an exercise ball is set off beautifully against the dark background and creates stunning repercussions from its reflection on the model. This is one of these photos were I just stare at it for a while and realize that simplicity is the root of creativity. Tech details after the jump...
Tech details   The key light was set up camera right with a softbox angled down at the ball and model. A ringflash at 45 degrees off center at the same level as the model was at camera left. The ratio of light was about 1.5 to 1 key to fill.
