Being There in the Diner without the Microphone People

If you are of a certain age you remember the movie Being There with Peter Sellers.

He was a simple man, learning disabled. He ended up on a famous late night TV show. When asked questions, he answered them very simplistically without really understanding them...and he was running for President. Spare the details for now. Because of the buildup, simple questions, and the shaping of the commentary on it to promote him, the majority of the population bought it and voted him in. Big mistake.

So the next time you speak with a friend who has little truthful information on anything and you find out they are listening to the old-time news to get it, know that there are REAL sources of information that will make you happy.

Dogs are one of the very real sources of information we have left. Loyal, truthful, unassuming, and fun; they are our best friends. Lucy shows this as she attracts a small crowd in 2023 at a diner. Dogs are the real thing. They offer something "there".

Through 2024 we were sold down the road in real time. Check your pocketbook. Asked leaders for help with loyalty, truthfulness, unassumingly, and anticipating fun ahead...and were bagged mercilessly. We were told that by 2030 we would own nothing and be happy. Since everything needs an owner, the ruling class would own almost all of everything. We chose a new course, got it, and are getting used to it, albeit with the greatly shrunken national pocketbook left over from the merciless stewards. No matter how it works out, one thing remains true.

If you REALLY want something to "Be There" for you, consider the trusty K9. Lucy is the shortest of the subjects above. She almost talks and certainly has captured the attention of the humanoids at the diner as she looks them in the eye, truthfully. The difference is that she is the real thing; not contrived or manipulated by the microphone people.
